Mobile Users-Team-Bhpian Drivers..Beware....

hey guys how u doin.....lissen up very carefully..i know this is gonna sound stupid now.... but this is whats happening nowadays....yesterday i was at the vakola brigde....waitin to take the left onto the andheri highway...
from the back on the left hand side someone acts to fall on the car...
so i turn around in the car and look to see this guy fallen on the car..but he after about 2-5 secs gets ups and walks away.....without even saying a word....i know sounds fish....but didnt realise at the time...i take the left unknowingly....after bout 2 mins i look to my speedo console....and all i can see there is my zippo...my nokia 6600 is missing.....i ultimately ......drove back to vakola police station to make a complaint...i was stupid not to notice all this but guess u cant cry over split milk.....

anyways this is just a warning.....be careful team-bhpians...... pls if driving without ur airconditioning being on.....pull both the front glasses upto the point whr no one from the outside is...unable to gain access to the dash or anythin within the car........ the cops allover bbay are complaining of the same.... whether it be money from the dash, cellfones, wallet & that wont attract attention.....

The crooks in the city are getting more wiser each passing day.
And the cops on the other hand will not do anything unless bribed.
What is hapening in this city?
Summer will start soon hopefully so these car hi-jackings and all other petty crimes related to the windows being open will stop.
Anyway here are a few pointers -
1. Always lock the doors especially if there is something in the backseat
2. If you have to keep your cell phone out then remember to keep it in the cubby-holes provided in the centre console and always keep valuables in the dashboard, if it can be locked.

But i got no idea what to do for car hijacking cases such as in the thread in Rehaans post

Yeah same thing happened to one of my friend his 3650 was stolen in similar fashion.
I have a habit to driving with windows rolled down but i keep my cell in my pocket or in one of the cup holders near handbrake.

have a first hand experience wid something similar

My uncle was at a signal somewhere in bbay n sm chap comes up to the window n asks for directions.

My uncle is busy explainin n on the other side, the guys mate flicks my uncle's bag

Another incident which i heard of was some chain snatching as the signal just went green. The chaotic moment is utilised to the fullest advantage.

So basiacally be alert.

Keep the other window half( or less) open.

also, as NC said, keeping loose stuff on dashboard can be harmful.

Drive safe !!
