Friends depart after car crash in Guyana

Dear friends at team-bhp

a dear friend of mine has lost 2 close friends, and has filled me with great grief.

2 men died in the car crash.
i have brought this topic up because they died in a car crash which on impact burst in flames after colliding with a tray lorry parked on the road.
i am for no doubt the departed where good drivers but the damage has been extensive and would like to know if the wheels on the car had to play any role in the crash

cheers Shab

Friends die in fiery crash

Two men who were in a car died on Thursday night in Essequibo when one of them lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the tray of a motor lorry that was parked off the roadway, and caught afire.

According to a police release the accident occurred at about 8.30 pm on Thursday at Richmond, Essequibo Coast and resulted in the death of Gansham Singh, 21, and Totaram Devanand, 20, residents of Columbia, Essequibo Coast.

The release said that investigations revealed that the two victims were in motor car HA 8275 driven by Singh along the main road at Richmond when it is alleged that the driver lost control of the vehicle which crashed into the tray of a motor lorry that was parked off the roadway. As a result of the impact the car caught afire. The two were taken out of the vehicle with the assistance of personnel from the Guyana Fire Service and rushed to the Suddie Hospital where they were pronounced dead on arrival.

Totaram has left to mourn his mother, father, two sisters and one brother. Gansham has left to mourn his mother, father and other relatives and friends.

Hope their souls rest in peace.

Sorry for the tragedy but those wheels! Big mismatch! Seems like the rear wheel is a spare? Is the front tyre worn out or are they slick tyres? Or did they wear out during the impact itself?

The Wheels might have been an isuue. They might have had a sudden loss of grip or something similar. What car is that?

May their souls rest in peace.

The front wheel looks like an alloy, adn the tire looks worn, while the rear looks like steel?

Yup.. the rear wheel looks like a spare.. also.. surprisingly the car as you said was burned From the photographs.. the seats look to be perfect condition.
It could be the tires.. whats the speed limit on that road?
Because on that spare.. they should have been well below the limit. The Rim looks Old though

may their souls rest in peace.

they where burnt when the bodies arrived at the hospital and the flames where extinguished by onlookers immediately! they also had to wrench the car open to get them out so i don't know how long they where trapped inside the car!

anyways what happened has happened guys all of you drive safely and check your tires before you enter the car

i also heard there was rain that day which had to play part to the crash and as we all know slicks and rain don't match

and do get tires that match your car!

cheers
Shab

That was a very horrific accident and sad to see some young souls depart. May their souls RIP and let god give their families the strength to cope with such a loss of valuable lives.

Another reminder to all of us not to neglect the tyres on the car. Getting good looking alloys and making a statement is fine. But keeping proper tyre pressure, clearing stones stuck in the tread, etc are also of paramount importance.

Bad.
All I can say is that God gives strength to their family members.

O.T.:
Others have pointed out the tyres, but IMO, the tyres may have been damaged by the fire.
