Re: 360 spin in swift after tyre burst - Phew!!! was close!!!

I know this was a long ago but glad to walked away pretty much unscathed from it

So what is the final verdict on the tyre pressure?

I have the new Swift ZXi 2014, stock tyres: 185/65/R15 Alloys, can someone help me with what tyre pressure to maintain

In City - With Full Load / Minimal Load
On Highway - With Full Load / Minimal Load

Thanks folks

Nitrogen in tires - urban myth !!

This is an urban myth not supported by physics. The retention of air is no different than nitrogen.

Some argue that the nitrogen molecules are larger and hence do not leak out like other gases. If that was the case consider the following :
1. First time fill the tire with Air which has 80% nitrogen and 20% other gases.
2. if a large proportion of other gasses leak out leaving nitrogen behind , you again replace the shortfall with air which is 80 % nitrogen.
3. Repeated cycles of filling air will by itself keep on increase the percentage of nitrogen in the tire and hence all tires will become 100% nitrogen over a period of time.
