That seems very reckless though an impressive time. On closer look though, there is some typo in the numbers - no way you can do an average speed of 165.2kmph on BLR roads.

Cheers

Even 99 kmph is a huge deal for Bangalore roads. I would love to see the route taken. I did a run from home to the airport 40 kms in 35 mins, but this was at 5:00 in the morning with absolutely no traffic. Somehow just cant digest 99 kmph average in Bangalore at around 5:30pm.

guys,

i honestly have no idea how did i drive. it was crazy, thats for sure

and my averaging method (pretty crude) was peek in between the steering wheel every now and then.

and saw the needle hovering at 100-110 km/hr

well, the route taken was

hennur main road to baglur cross (avg 70-80 km/hr) to bellary road (100-130 km/hr)

well, thats why said it must have been a weird dream

oh! this reminded me of such an incident which happened in 2004 for giving a ride to a friend on my cd100ss(missed the cab, no bus facility, and auto strike - perfect) and oh! short on time. That bike, poor thing cant do more than 60kmph. And at those speeds, it gets bit scary in handling and yeah! with racing tires and it takes eternity to stop the bike or to accelerate from 40kmph to 60kmph.

From Himayathnagar to Uppal(GENPAC) [himayathnagar - barkatpura - tilak road - che number - amberpet - ramanthapur - Uppal] in under 20 min. I think it was around 12KM. And people living in Hyderabad can vouch for traffic in Himayathnagar, barakatpura, tilak road, che number and ramanthapur in the evening 5ish.

Phew!!! even today I shudder, how did I do that one!!!!! i can only think of only one reason - the pillion was a girl.
