Speed guns in Bangalore

Not sure if anyone in t-bhp has experienced this in Bangalore. Check out this blog I got challanned | Praja

The person was fined Rs 300/- for speeding above 60kmph by speed gun armed police on Koramangala IRR. So watch out and be careful.

Please share potential and favorite locations of the police so that one can be careful.

Guys, which are the junctions where cameras have been put up by the cops?
Have they placed any on the ORR?

Bellary Road after Yelahanka towards BIAL, one of my friends was gifted a lovely picture of himself doing 92kmph in his Pajero by the "interceptor" squad.

Speed limit on this road as put up every few kilometres:

Outer lane (right) : 80 km/hr
Middle lane : 60 km/hr
Inner lane (Left) : 30 km/hr

Also says "heavy vehicles strictly prohibited on outer lane", but nobody seems to follow this.

Nice. Very good initiative. All morons thinking the IRR is a racetrack better watch out. Camera and printout == no corruption.

Welcome move.

The problem point is that speed guns are generally targeted at lone vehicles zooming in relatively thin traffic, and in such scenarios even the relatively conservative guys going even slightly above 60 get caught. But the ones that really drive like a race track even on moderate traffic are difficult for the speed guns to catch.

More Speed Guns

Bellary Road - There are usually two interceptors (police jeeps with speed guns) on Bellary road, towards airport just before the trumpet flyover and when you are heading back to the city there is one between airforce station and bagalur cross.

Mysore Road - There is one interceptor just before you enter Kengari.

They are usually around fast corners/bends or as you climb an incline so that you cant see them from a great distance.

Atleast there is a start, slightly above 60 in city limits of Bangalore should be fined, even on IRR.

For those who get away, sooner or later their luck is going to run off.

I have seen a couple of call centre taxis being stopped by the interceptors.

Also, I hear they are heavily cracking down on Mysore Road. Last time I had been to Innovative Film City, I spotted atleast 3 of them at different places. This is due to the racing that happens to the CCD's I am told.

Any such info on Hosur/Krishnagiri route?
