Hi Guys

New to the forum. I am planning a trip to Palolem on my bullet with my wife.
Our 1st annniversary next month.

I ma planning to take the

Hyd-memboobnagar-raichur-sindanur-koppal-gadag-hubli-karwar-palolem

Can anyone update with the road conditions. You can direct me to the relavant post too.

I mite break journey at Hubli. Any good places to stay there for a nite ??

quite a few views but no helpful information

Sorry - I've always been to Goa via the Sholapur - Bijapur - Belgaum route.

Read dsreddy's post of Jan 2008 at the following link:-

Your really a brave man to drive the bullet until Goa. Hope your wife is comfortable with such long distance on a bike. Usually, they are the first to complain from sitting on a 2-wheeler for long duration.

Just do a search, you will find many travelogues from Hyderabad to Goa. I have travelled quite a few times but, i always prefer the sholapur route.

Have a nice trip!

600km to Goa is no big shakes. For any doubts, chat up the friendly wanderers (?). Palolem's a lovely choice though. PM hvkumar for any gyan you'd require - or ping Zappo - he's done this route twice.bblost may know too or PM me and I'll give you a good friend's email whose done it several times on bike

You are a brave man and your wife is a really brave woman.

We have done the reverse route from Palolem to Hyd with a break journey at Koppal. That was almost one year ago so road conditions would have changed now. Roads are good and traffic is less till Sindnur. Expect truck traffic and some dust between Koppal-Gadag-Hubli.

Hyd to Koppal is around 420 km and Koppal to Palolem is around 330 km.

travelling in bullet is not that tiresome as people here presumes.

Check the below link
MapmyIndia - maps, directions, and local search across India - just search, print and go!

Alternate you can try Hyd-mahbubnagar-raichur-mudgal-hungund-bagalkot-Belgaum-Londa-panjim, in this route the road till Belgaum is good.

Solly

It may not be tiresome, but rain and dust can make things a bit uncomfortable. Besides there is a limit to how much luggage one can carry.
