Rajiv, sorry to know about this nasty accident caused by drunk morons!
And to rub salt over wound, we have a corrupt & inefficient Police & judiciary.

You should have extracted more (atleast 10k) from those rich brats, since you have to pay the same or more for the repairs from your side (apart from the Insurance coverage).

Hope your car is restored soon to its prestine condition.

Thats a nasty one. Good to hear that you are alright.
Also read the post that the chassis of the car is fine, which is also nice to hear.
Looking forward to seeing you car back in mint condition.

Take Care

Glad to see you were fine, particularly after seeing the pics. Talking about the safety aspect, I dont know if there is any way to say for sure whether Hand Brake up at all signals would be safe or not, but at least at Intersections I think Hand brake up is safer as in such a situation it would stop your car from rolling into oncoming cars at the Intersection. This might just be 'stating the obvious' but never a bad time to start discussions on safety right?

Thanks all for such a supporting words.

Till now insurance process is completely free. Manager at Vipul told me not to worry at all, and no need to come to check the status, unless I want. Car will be delivered in 15 days dot.

BTW I am traveling to Chandigarh in my good old M800, will be fun, but no night driving this time as my people are bit worried.

Actually these things can happen anywhere and has nothing to do with long drives. Just my thought, but mother is mother .

Glad you are safe. I feel bad for your car. Hope it will be on road soon.

We have a corrupt system that does not have much values left.

Thanks friends...

I realize SX4 really saved lots of body damage to me. If it would have been any hatch, impact could have been worst.

BTW I reached Chandigarh yesterday on my M800 which is 1999 model but just 8000 Km driven, which is another story.

It was fun drive a car which has no accessories or features at all, music system also does not work .

Hotel people, who now knows me very well, asked me first things, where is your car. Guy who cleans my car in hotel, saw me and then searched my car in parking to wash. I had to tell him, this time its 800.

Also realized what a respect SX4 gets on highways, nobody care to give way to M800
