ABS ... helped on this close one

well.. people i was on my way back from college towards the mall in malad ... i took the exit from the highway and was crossing over to the west by the bridge .. goin up the slope i was doing 50+ as soon as i started declining.... jus took a look on the rear view fer a split second i was doing 70 by now ....than as i looked ahead ... there was this guy with a cycle crossing the bridge mid way ...... before i saw him and befor i realised that he is there my foot was on the brakes ..... i dont know how it happened ... the guy was so freaked he dint move an inch ...
i thought it was over ... i thought i would crash into that guy... my car started giving those jerks as my cars abs were functioning .... and goin downslope it was more difficult to get the car in control and my cars abs worked wonders and the car stopped almost 1 metre ahead ... i was so shockd and amazed at the same time .. i was zapped .. then after some time my friend sitting next to me told that guy something .. and i jolted back to reality...just looked at the guy and moved on .....

it was close one fer the guy .. i love my car ... it did not let me down... to be frank i thought it was over fer that guy

i am lucky nothing happened... and thanks to my cars abs

Really close.
Faced the same thing at the turning near the FIAT showroom in Prabhadevi.
The moron on the cycle was standing in the middle of the road with traffic passing him.
Dippy,
CD has an Accent Tornado with ABS and an Accord 2.4 (?) with ABS but i think he uses the Tornado right?

Drive safe CD,

Anyways thats great to hear the Hyundai ABS working( no offence to hyundai owners) but i did not find the ABS of the Accent and Elnatra to be very effective on some roads.

Cheers

dude ABS are there to let you steer when you are braking hard. Unlike other cars which might lock up under hard braking and deny you any steering effort the ABS lets yuo steer under all conditions. And when you are able to steer under heavy braking and maintain control of the car it makes a difference... Between life and death!

Anyway be careful dude. Even if its a motorcyclists fault we'll get blamed for it.

You said it all nitrous . And i would go as far as saying , A car without ABS is like A Man without ***** (i am not kidding) . .
So guys dont ever buy a car not equipped with ABS, at the end of the day you might end up saving your or may be somebody elses life .
