Very pleasant driving today morning. Had to go out before going to work and total of 25 km done in about half the time it usually takes.

If only every morning could be the morning of the Visarjan day. Only the mornings.

I had a breeze too ... Took about 40 mins for 32 Km drive, which typically takes me an hour and ten minutes everyday.

Good luck for the drive back in the afternoon ... All the time saved in the morning would be compensated if you get stuck in the Visarjan traffic ...

I started to write about a nasty scare thanks to a scooterist on the wrong side of the road in a turning.
But then realized what is new about this.

May not be the right thread, now that its confirmed the AP CM is dead from the Helicopter crash, Tbhpians need to be careful in case of possible arson and road blocks.

RIP - YSR. You don't deserve this death. May your family get the necessary courage to pass through this terrible phase

Yes, hope the CM's soul rest in peace.
Very bad news. Untimely death of the CM. News has been confirmed about his death and reportedly even the body has been recovered.
Hyd Tbhpians be careful for possible roadblocks and arson. My office is closed.

Indeed a sad way for a life to come to an end. Though, i was not particularly a fan of YSR. May god rest his soul

I heard unconfirmed reports that Curfew has been declared in the City!

There is a massive pile-up at CM's camp office and Raj Bhawan Road. Best Avoidable.

Just reached office via whisper valley route.
No incidents or road blocks and traffic was sparse. Begumpet, Raj Bhavan, and other sensitive areas are best avoided today.

EDIT: seems like the state govt. has declared a holiday today and are enforcing it.

Thank God my whole team is working from home today due to Ganesh Immersion.
Microsoft has asked its employees to go back and work from home to avoid untoward incidents.

Edit---got a mail just now from my company asking employees to go home and work from home.

Just got an update. It's been declared a holiday from 2:00 PM today and tomorrow.
We have been granted "work from home" option!

I hate work from home.

Just reached home and logged in....er to team-bhp.

The route CG -> Masab Tank via Rd 12 was free of any incident except autos being stopped.
Interesting thing. Poor people were offloading poor people. The rich were comfortably enjoying the empty roads in comfort.

Found an SI and told him about the ricks being stopped. He said he was on his way there.

Caution for those travelling from Jubilee Hills to Secunderabad side:

The road from Punjagutta Junction to Greenlands Junction is closed to traffic since it goes in front of CM's Camp Office.

However, the road from Greenlands to Punjagutta is open including the flyover.

I am sure it will be all right after 11:00 am tomorrow.
