My cruising speed is between 80-100... can't do more at the moment coz dad acts as the speed limiter

I chose 80-100 because I have only driven in dividerless/shoulderless highways in India. When I get to drive in a real expressway, I might upgrade my speed.

The yet to be complete Bangalore-Mysore highway may become my first expressway, but that has too much 2-wheeler traffic, villager crossings, bullock carts, etc., to be called a real highway...

To maintain speeds between 80 and 100km/h, I have to gently touch the accelerator of the Contessa - results in best economy figures. Otherwise, the car is equally at ease even at 120 - 130km/h.

90-110 for Santro, 100-130 or even 150 for Mondeo.

Depends on the road condition + time of day.
So it varies from 80-120

i feel 120 / 130 is ideal cruising speed as there is sufficient time for my instinct to change course but have to be within speed limits of 100 (+-10).

Baleno - 100 to 120. This baby wants to do more but I generally back off as it is just not worth it on our roads.
Esteem - 100 - 110.
Both these cars have seen 140 -150 is short bursts on the expressway.

I dont think going more than 100 is safer in indian road conditions even if the machine is capable... There is always that dog.. cat.. buffaloes.. and even morons sitting on the highways.. not to mention the sudden potholes and the crazy detours without any signages!

100-120 on a NHC Vtec at around 3-4k rpm, seems very comfortable with almost absolute silence..

Anything above 110 in a Santro feels a little uncomfortable... so I restrict the cruising to about 110 kmph.
