Truly amazing pictures. But, i am a bit suprised you didnt not carry a proper camera for this tour? Can you share some information on temparatures, total kilometers on both routes and the trickest section?

I went up to Rohtang pass from Delhi during one winter a few years ago and that itself was quite scary due to horrible roads from Manali to Rohtang.

Look forward to more pictures.

Situation in Srinagar

@ Ashutosh, while coming back via the Srinagar route, did you face any problem as the Valley is going through some trouble due to the Shopian case

the only challenge was the bad roads.. which i think we managed quite successfully. save for a few times when the car's underbody touched, nothing else. no major harm was done!

again, was not a major issue. Logan's GC is on the higher side. Also, a big help was the metal engine guard which comes factory fitted.

well we coordinated with our friend in srinagar. By the time we reached srinagar, it was late evening and all the protests had died down by then. And left early morning the next day, so escaped from the stone throwers.

My friend was carrying a camera, most of the pictures were clicked by him while I was driving.

The trickest section would be manali-rohtang (few kilometres before rohtang, the road literally ends) and rohtang-keylong-pang (most of it is bad due to road widening going on.. all you will see stones and mud most of the time).

Attaching more pictures:

Hey Man, I did see your car parked opposite the SBI ATM at the main baazar road while I was there to use the ATM. I was like, man that's a nice looking car and from my city, Noida.

Congrats on completing this amazing journey.

Cheers!

Congratulations on achieving this wonderful feat my friend. The logan sure has scaled the Himalayas, endured the terrain and has come out in flying colors.

Methinks this would be the 1st logan ever to get there and kudo's to you.

I have no words after seeing your pictures. You're exactly like me ( i want my cars pictures more wherever i go than my own or with the car ).

Also as someone mentioned , this is the best looking logan i've ever seen till date. I think you should send across your Pictures to M&M to remodel it for pushing their sales numbers.

You also mentioned that your silencer ( FFE ) joint gave up on you but i di not notice the FFE in the pictures. Did you put back the normal silencer before getting Leh'ed?

renting a safari? hmm.now thats what i've been looking for. are ther options like that available out there? I've always wanted to drive up there but its stupidity to take my Alto from b'lore all the way to Leh. If this renting option is available , then I may plan my trip rather soon. pleae revert on this. PM me if necessary.
