Dicor Totalled, yet coming back?

How can a Totalled vehicle ever come back?

Either it was not Totalled, just damaged, or, either an entirely new vehicle is being made out of scrap metal.

Ok, looks like it was just damaged.

As told by the SA, there was no apparent damage to the chasis and it wasnt even touched for any repair job. The problem with the car is not that, the fact is "an accidental car can never be the same again" however much you try. NVH has increased, rainwater seeps in, what not. Its only the butter smooth unharmed engine which isnt allowing me to separate with the beast.

I am planning to sell off the car early next year and get a new Scorpio, though even new Scorpio will only be used in city drives only. Lets see, Scorpio or Cruze what i choose. When i sell it, i will shed loads of tears for sure like i did when saw the damaged car.

Totalled is just a term that was used for this kind of an accident as there was a major damage.

As far as i know the car can be remade from whatever kind of accident that it goes through.

Would advise you to read the complete posts / thread before answering here.
No hard feelings. I paid a lot to get the car re-done. It was my personal choice.

The Car is back. and performing even better than ever. There were a few niggles and stuff but all that was changed / replaced. To really test the car out we drove down to Gods own country Kerala.

The drive was beautiful and surprisingly there were no issues at all. No rattles. wobbles, blah blah..
the mileage seems to have improved - 600+ odd km on 1 tankfull of diesel with A/C on all the time.
the pickup seems to be better. was hitting 130+ in no time.
Overall i am very satisfied with the Dicor. AKA Truck.

Already added to the car
Pioneer DVD player
2 headrest screens
blaupunkt amplifier
new boston components speakers

Still to come
New Rims
New Tires - planning for yokohama - any suggestions?
leather seats - Black / Beige ??
new nudge guard - same as before but will add lightforce foglamps now. also will change the position. not as before

I will post the pics soon

Great to see you have your truck back, but I dont understand, inspite of you promising yourself to use it only for citi drivies, you made a 600 km trip. I think thats a huge risk that you are taking - because of the lack of ABS/Airbags!

It never had any ABS or Airbags. and i had to make the Trip
once you own one of these and have driven it on the highways.. you really need to just get back on the highway and let her strech her legs a bit.
