120ks in 8 feet

mi speedo was showing 120 kmph n i moved only say 8 feet ahead in say 40 seconds ..
i was driving a pontiac grand am v6 auto..
guess wot i was really doing ?
ahhahaha

answer..
a burnout ofcourse...tractioncontrol off ( it had been raining all day )..put on reverse made a hard reverse and pulled the auto to P1 ..its front wheel driver ..roll down the window n and let the smoke in ..
dats how we treat rental cars 1 hour b4 turning em in ...

The speedo works with only 2 wheels spinning?? I always thought you needed to move all 4 wheels.

You did the burnout in which gear? Coz 120kmph is pretty fast for 1st.

the speedo is on the front wheels generally ..and these grand ams r front wheel drivers if it was rear wheel driver the needle wudnt have lifted .. the car was an 3 spd auto ( P1 P2 P3 and D )..so they have a diff gear ratio as far as can tell ..(so if ur cars in D thn the auto will shift up only 3 times )..
the moment the car gets some traction the speedo will dip ..but didnt go more dan 120 ks coz i had pulled the stick to p1 skipping ...if i put had the shift to Drive (d) thn it wud have shifted to 2nd and ruined the burn out ...

my best so far is 177kmph on my modified rd350. This was on sarjapur ring road, Bangalore 2 years ago.

here are details of the topspeed run:

Great going man. 177kmph on a road going RD, WOW. hey that gadget you're holding, it's digital speedo? Is it a GPS device, or just a digital thing you connect to your bike. How does it calculate speed?

Can you give me some more info on it.
