Impossible. Unless it had longer gearing (Cielo was always known for short gearing), a bigger engine and a couple of turbos!! Even if it does manage to cross the 200 mark, keeping the front wheels on the ground will be the biggest challenge. I dont suppose your friend has got a front wing too?

Also a stock Lancer struggles to go beyond an indicated 190kph, and this I am speaking of the original 90 odd horsepower Lancers. They were later detuned and are currently available in the 87 bhp 1.5 engine.

Hey......well,i myself know bout the cielo and lancers capability......so no explanation bout that......
as far as the cielo is concerned,well.....this guy had a turbo with free flow xhaust n k&n filter wit a throttle.......
so it was....
as far as lancer is concerned,i have a mod lancer too on which i have crossed the 200kmph mark......with a lotta hard wok and strain........
and stock lancers ur right......190kmph but on the 87bhp 1...

hey guys, great speeds from u! especially 260 kmph on the katana!must have required loads of guts! 'neways, here are my three personal bests:
160 kmph(speedo) in diesel siena on a single lane state highway.
140 kmph(speedo again) in my diesel indica (well, my dad's a bit worried 'bout economy, so all diesels at home
both the said cars gave up completely after those speeds, even though it was pedal to metal!
and last but not the least: 115 kmph on my 2000 CBZ.

Great speed lamborghini!
by the way if u own a diesel siena, i would like to get some of my doubts regarding its power steering cleared, as my parents met with a near fatal accident as the power steering on my siena TD 60 ELX got so sensitive over 120kmph that i did 2 complete 360 degree turns and dashed against 2 trees in the process.
fortunately my parents were belted and the car was sturdy. it was a mess.
i just wanted to make u aware and to tell u to be careful.
hope nothing's wrong with ur PS. just get it double checked at services, that accident was horrible!

actually madmax the steering is fine but the gearbox kept on slipping back into neutral and when it had done some 65000 km its a.c developed a problem but apart from these i never faced any problem with the car and as a mater of fact it was the car to go in whenever the family went for long distance trips.
