Where to park in Bangalore?

Whole of Kanakpura road is made no parking now (until Koday's I am sure about), got a no parking 2 weeks back. Any parking lots on this stretch? Metro is one option, but they keep a tab on who is parking.

Giving life to an old thread (i last post was mine in 2009).

My friend working on MG road has purchased a new Fabia. With his old car he never used to bother much about a safe parking, but with the new Fabia he us hunting for a safer parking slot somewhere within 1 km area near Barton Centre, MG Road Bangalore. Dont mind paying up to 1.5-2K for this every month but hourly payment would cost me a bomb as he brings the car every day to work.

Any help will be highly appreciated..

If 1km is Ok, your friend can try the parking lot that is situated at the junction of Brigade Road and Residency Road behind the corner petrol pump, opposite the defunct Opera Theatre complex, not too sure of the parking charges levied though although a lot of office folk around the area leave them for the entire day there at concessional rates.
