No matter how rich you are, you never want your exotic to get hurt... er, scratched or worse is what i meant.... :-p
No way he'd make those lane changes unless he was damned well sure that he wouldn't scratch his gaadi

Not true. Ask Jay Kay of Jamiroquai. Crashes a Diablo, Esprit, and some others too.

Road rage can happen anywhere....more so in India..I know of a few such incidents like these that occured in small towns and highways. There are a lot of people out there driving around with lots of money, brawns,no brains whatsoever and are probably armed. It looks like we've got to apply for a gun licence along with the driver's licence in India.Sad but true.

No dude, the bottom line is get out of the situation...fast.
You have nothing to prove to anyone with a fight.
If it involves a lot of damage, call the police.
If someone threatens you, call the police.
Mostly of the time, the threat to call the police, is enough to settle the issue.

Dimono's Pizza and related

Hi,

Further to my experience posted at http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6618, while on the way back from the Service Station and enroute to the Pit-Stop, a Domino's pizza guy banged my left quarter bumper at the traffic signal.

A few deep scars but no impact damage otherwise. The cops were present already and asked the delivery chappie for Lic and Reg.
This moron had a L Lic and no reg papers. The cops checked with me whether I wanted some damage claims so that they may escort us both to the station.

I gave the delivery guy a shouting(as I was mighty pi**ed anyways with what had happened earlier at the Service station) and told him to get lost as I knew that the cops would screw his happiness if I went along with the cops.

The guy apologized (said that he just makes INR 1800 pm! and would never be able to cover the damage cost) and so I told him to FO before the cops changed their minds. Also, to check is measure of goodwill, I gave him my number and told him to tell his boss to call me up as I wanted to lamblast the boss for employing people with L license.

Never got a call.

However there was this large Chicken Mexican redwave pizza delivered to my door-step at 2100 hrs - Gratis.
The delivery boy must have got my address from the database as I order my pizzas from them.

Cheers

Road rage in Delhi claims one more.

In an incident of road rage that left the city shocked, a 35-year-old man was beaten to death, his head crushed by a concrete flower pot allegedly by five men at the busy Lado Sarai crossing near Saket in south Delhi around 10.30 pm on Monday. The provocation was the victim's car brushing against a motorcycle.
The victim, Jitender Pawar, a property dealer and nephew of former mayor Satbir Singh, was returning from Saket Club to his house in Mehrauli in his Maruti Zen when the incident took place. An eyewitness, a beat constable and some other people rushed Pawar to AIIMS, where he was declared 'brought dead'.

Within hours, the police arrested four people who were identified as Sandeep (21), Rakesh (19), Chander (22) and Suresh (22) while one Murari is said to be absconding. After a medical examination of the accused at AIIMS, the police said they were most probably drunk but a conclusive report is awaited. A case of murder and common intention has been registered at Malviya Nagar police station.

"Pawar had a heated argument with Sandeep and Chander, who were on a motorcycle. The two apparently went away but caught up with him again after covering some distance. Three other men on another bike then joined them and they started following Pawar's car," said DCP (South) Anil Shukla.

At the T-point on Anuvrat Marg, Pawar stopped his car and took out a stick to confront the men.

read about it in todays news paper, this is scary.

Next time one steps out of his home, his/her mom will remind him/her to carry a gun along. never know when he/she might have to use it in self defence.

Incidents of such kind are on the rise in all cities. One has to be extremely careful, before getting into confrontation with another person or persons. There were a couple of such horrible incidents in Pune, a few years back.

My wagonR got hit from the rear today. I had to brake because of a bike-wallah! and an innova hit me from behind.

But the guy was kinda scared. didnt make a fuss of it. Accidents do happen. In this case, the bumper has some deformation.

I would have imagined such a character to be a bit more civilized. Agreed that the guy's got money, but where's the common sense?

If the guy had anything in his upper-storey (read head/bheja/khopdi)..the would have gotten out, inspected the damage, and requested that the damages be paid for. simple & and effective..

I hate it when people say this 'you dont know who I am'... the 1st thing i'd ask such a person is..' Aren't u sure who you are? Why are you asking me? '

Moron!
