Rants on Bangalore's traffic situation

Folks travelling from ec to koranangaka and other parts via madiwala please be advised there is huge traffic pile up starting as soon as you get down the ec flyover.

Isn't that normal at this time of the day? The traffic pile up due to Silkboard and Madiwala signals ensures almost 1 km on top of Elevated road is blocked, sometimes as late as 8pm too!!

Alert - 100 feet road to bypanahalli - completely choked this Friday evening. Has taken me nearly 90 mins. To traverse this stretch from start of 100 ft road to bypanahalli via old madras road

The road was all jammed after Keys on top of BETL till Christ College. Surprisingly less traffic afterwards till lalbagh.

The cause of the jam was the leftnturn towards BTM at silkbosrd was completely choked.

don't understand the logic of people overtaking to get ahead only to get stuck and block the whole road! when will people learn to stand in line and wait for their turn!

Actually today being friday, it would be more because of all the mess in madiwala created by the private buses.

Actually I took the left turn to BTM at silkboard seeing that the flyover was choked. Surprisingly , BTM was not crowded at all and I could reach home (near lalbagh) in 15 mins!

The private bus mess begins after 9pm most of the times. I pass Madiwala everyday around 9:15 and Friday is worse.

At times, I have seen private buses wait for a place to park parallel to the pavement between the buses and block entire traffic behind it.

Madiwala being a Major entry point is almost like a Private Bus stop on all days.

Funny that BTP is turning a blind eye to this menace. Easily a nexus that we all can think of.

For the past 2-3 weeks, marathalli junction is choked because of bad road conditions and also due to U-turn near to brand factory. Not sure, what is the cause of recent

road damage?

They have dug up the road for drainage work. As usual they did the same soon after re-tarring work on Yemalur junction - Domlur section was done.

Dear BHPians

This week the commute from RMZ Infinity on Old Madras Road to K R Puram has been very painful.

Typically the time taken to cross this 1.8 km is 10 mins but all of this week has been quite bad. Time taken to cross the same distance is 22 mins now

Does anyone know the reason for the sudden traffic on OMR at 7:50am ?
