BWSSB has dug up a huge ditch right in the middle of Bilekahahalli, Bannerghatta road going towards Jayadeva.

There was a huge traffic pile till Fortis Hospital at 7 AM and it took 20 mins to clear Bilekahahalli.

Not sure why they can't do this in the night.

More Whitefield news:
-At the ATM junction where one makes a U turn from the Hoodi road to Graphite road there is a patch of mud, not sure if the newly laid surface wore off or it was another round of digging by our friendly BESCOM/BWSSB, etc
-A new traffic signal is coming up right outside Prestige shanthiniketan gate 1 (apartments). Poles to house the lights have been installed on either side of the road

The road was dug up by BWSSB over the weekend. It was in worse condition on Saturday when I was in that area. Pretty pathetic really!

From what I heard (from others). BWSSB do not even inform the Traffic Police of these things. The Traffic Police at many times have got rude surprises on Monday mornings when they find some new ditches/pits on the road. Looks like there is absolutely no coordination among the various civic agencies. The city just seems to be running with the momentum generated a few years back.

See this bus running for Emc2. The driver has intentionally peeled off the numbers to confuse police or other citizens. How can such a reputable organisation allow such kind of cheap ways to evade law enforcement? Anyone here working for EMC2? In my office cab drivers are suspended if they have a broken mirror or dont wear seatbelts while driving. Can anyone take this issue up with the transport desk?

Something is wrong in Bangalore! Sarjapur road is fully relaid and now the entire central jail road/ kasavanahalli is relaid!! :P
Finally I am relieved to see the roads being relaid in jail road! It was a total mess! Good that things are being done

Good to hear that, I have tweeted multiple times to the BBMP commissioner to fix the stretch of service road which joins the Hosur road from ORR side and vice versa, it is due to these broken roads that to a very large extent the traffic is a crawl, resulting in longer transit time at the silk board junction.

Its hardly a 500 metre stretch all combined.

Folks. There is a rumour that trade unions formally are planning to hold protest marches tomorrow and plan to meet PF Dept officials etc. They may also do some protesting at cubbon park or freedom park during the mid-morning hours. Any body else heard this??

All the PF-related budgetary provisions have been repealed, haven't they? What do they have left to protest about?

Thanks. Won't use BG Road for a few days.

That's the same place near my old house which had a reputation for flooding until they covered the sewer a few years ago. It used to be a terrible bottleneck. Guess there's some preventive maintenance this time.

Massive traffic jam on the outer ring road from marathahalli bridge and silk board. It's taken 1+hr to travel from multiplex to Eco space and still no signs of the end of the jam. Don't know what is the cause of this unusual jam today.
