Forget how many hours they can save. What puzzles me is what do they do with those hours saved? They rush as though they need to be there in time to shore up the economy single-handedly!
Muchto my wife's amusement, when I find people overtaking from left, not stopping at the red signal, sneaking through every conceivable gap in bumper to bumper traffic, bully other regular drivers in to giving them the right of way etc., I pass this comment: "Here goes the guy who will shore up our economy. Such is his urgency that he is willing to die for the same!"

Actually none. Normally you meet these guys again at the next Traffic Signal.
