see these kinda fools doing those kinda stunts on highly populated areas like Jai Bharat nagar (Banaswadi main road) and sometimes on the Banaswadi flyover itself!

re: Bangalore Elevated Tollway

I reached the spot within few minutes of the accident (somewhere near Bommanahalli). Bus belongs to Shama transport and all the passengers were moved out /rescued immidiately, it was going towards Hosur direction. I have taken couple of pictures and will post it tomorrow. One good thing they did was they blocked vehicles entering tollway from Bommanahalli side so there was no traffic pile up then.

Any update on the incident? Considering the timing, I think the bus was proceeding towards Kerala.

They allowed the opposite lane to function? Serious lack of safety consciousness.

A long distance Volvo bus carries enough fuel to blow up a section of that expressway.

Diesel only blows up under high temperature and pressure.

Those pictures were taken within couple of minutes of the accident and rescue vehicle or police had not arrived yet. My car was 10-15th vehicle arrived at the spot from the opposite lane. Fire was seen inside the luggage compartment but did not see bike or any other containers/cans inside.

yeah, that looks like the B9R Multi-axle. i've seen travels putting bikes in the B7R, but never in a B9R. even if it were carrying a bike, the travels people make sure the tank is empty before they put it in.

from the picture, the smoke coming out looks whitish. if something inflammable was burning, along with other material in the luggage compartment, the smoke would be greyish or blackish in nature (i think). it could have been a electrical fire too; but all this is speculation. anyone know the facts?

re: Bangalore Elevated Tollway

A quick update - the toll at Attibele tollbooth has been revised to Rs. 35 (from Rs. 30) for daily pass, effective today.
Compared to other toll both revisions, I think this is marginal.

re: Bangalore Elevated Tollway

Yes, BETL toll changed from today

Car:
1 way = no change (35)
One day pass = 55 (was 50)
Monthly pass = 1100 (was 1000)
