2 issue which are faced at the toll gates:

1. Only 1 toll gate is operational for cash toll, this leads to a very long queue. The other 3 gates meant for monthly pass vehicles are practically unused. Why can't they operate 2 toll gates for cash toll ?

2. Some people jump the queue and then muscle their way into the queue. Even the attendants at the toll gates turn a blind eye at them. Can't something be done about this ?

They normally stand at the place where there are 2 roads joining. I don't exactly remember the spot with landmark, but I had traveled once on this road happily speeding at 110 when I saw the interceptor. They couldn't even stop me due to my speed

i had a feeling that the Interceptor will be on the BETL today and wallah! there it was!

that Jazz guy zipped past me (i was travelling at 80kmph) and i saw the Interceptor in the distance. as i was closing in, i saw a red light flash inside the interceptor - i'm thinking this must be the radar gun. immediately, the cop who was standing beside the interceptor came to the middle of the road and flagged the Jazz down







notice the Corsa in front of the Interceptor - its got "Most Wanted" (as in NFS Most Wanted) where the number plate should be. i'm sure the cops took note of that

Really sorry for not turning up, I cut my finger on sunday night while trying to cut a sealed box, 2 stiches in my finger, driving is out for at least one week.

@IronH4WK - Good to hear that the Jazz was jabbed & look at the way he's driving, no lane discipline, I sincerely wish he was fined for that too.

Last week I enjoyed twice the sheer pleasure of driving in the elevated highway. One was around 10:30 PM & man, I was unable to control on restricting to 80 & gave a good blast. I too agree that its little scary, but I think we'll get over it eventually. The same night, I saw an Omnie & Swift were speeding, but to my surprise both of them were following lane discipline at odd hours. I was happy to see that.

The second was next day around 1:00 PM & this time I was very much under control & restricted myself not to exceed 2 digits. But the highway is really commendable. Took just 4-5 minutes for 8-9 Kms. Really appreciated the efforts of KA Govt.

It takes only 5 minutes to travel 9 kms, but one has to wait for another 10-15 minutes at the toll gates during peak hours. It really defeats the whole purpose.

Extra gates and manpower is available with them, still they choose to operate only 1 gate for 4-wheelers, even at peak hours.

Oh!!! is it? I was travelling both the times during non peak hours, however I saw there was 2 gates operating for cars & 1 for two-wheelers.

PS - Do they charge for two-wheelers also?

Isn't it funny ? They are operating 2 gates for cars at non-peak hours at Attibele toll booth, but they are operating only 1 gate for cars at peak hours at the Electronics City toll booth.

Again, 2-wheelers don't have to pay any toll if they enter/exit at Attibele toll booth, whereas 2-wheelers have to pay toll if they enter/exit at Electronics City toll booth. Talk about double standards.
