Bro in bike accident

Hi,
An awful awful day today, as I write this my brother is lying in the hospital ICU with head injury after he met with an accident today. His bike collided with a Tata Sumo and he probably hit the bonnet before being thrown off. I just came home after visiting him in the hospital and feel crushed. My parents more so.

The doctors say his condition cannot be predicted until 24 hrs but his heart and pulse are ok. He is not awake now due to drugs but when he was earlier he didn't show full awareness and couldn't speak. They say he has small fracture in his skull and small bleeding inside. So they are monitoring his status continually.

I just wish all this would go away and he is back home as before.

Another issue- The doc says he was probably DUI, does this affect his medical insurance?

Hey sorry to hear that bro! Hope he has a quick 100 % recovery. Don't worry he will pull through inshaAllah! Lets hope the alcohol content was within limits. What does the blood report say about that ?

Wish your brother a speedy recovery. Wasn't he wearing a helmet? A fulmask one? DUI, does make the insurance invalid.

Our prayers are with you all.

Really sorry to hear about it.. Wishing him a speedy recovery.

DUI depends on the type of fine print your medical insurance has. So please go thru the policy for such exclusions.

Our prayers with your family

He was wearing a helmet but not the safe standard one, a flimsy light one to ward off the cops.

Wishing your bro a safe and quick recovery.

Buy a helmet. A good one for him as a get well gift.
A good helmet stands between a post post like this and a, "Hey, Check what my helmet saved me from" kind of post I made just 3 months back.

And riding/ driving while one is drunk, is just plain foolish.

2 motorcycle riders sustain severe head injuries in Hyderabad everyday. Wear a helmet.

Wishing your brother a safe and quick recovery. I have set a rule for myself and everyone I know : No Helmet No bike, No seat-belts No car. Please Please Please ensure that he wears a helmet (a good full face one) hence-forth.

Praying to God that he recovers fast.

Helmets are very important. I always wear one. Always.
And drinking and driving do not mix. Its sad to see people suffer needlessly because of this.

My wishes with your brother and your family. Keep the faith and all will work out o.k.

All need to take a lesson from this and ensure that not only we but all our loved, near and dear ones are wearing a crash tested helmet every time they are on a two wheeler.

God bless your brother & pray that everything will be under control by tomorrow. Thanks for sharing the incident to consider spending money on riding gears as good investment.
