Palio runs into a cement pillar

On my way to work I usually drive through a section where there are three 3ft tall pillars at the entrance to the road. This is to ensure vehicles bigger than cars can't enter that section. Cars have to really slow down in order to squeeze between these pillars.

Today as I passed through those pillars, I came face to face with a parked Palio. I had to turn aside to go around that Palio. I managed to take a snap of that Palio later in the afternoon.

This may have happened during the night, the driver must have been either drunk or really careless to drive into the center pillar. What a shame to see a Palio in this shape. The cement pillar is slightly bent and there is crack at the bottom. No idea what happened to the driver/passengers.

now, thats a pity.... if it happened in the night, could it be because of poor visibility ? say there were no reflectors on the concrete pillars etc....

It has the usually yellow/black stripes and there is a speed bump 15ft before that. Finally there is a main road junction right after crossing the pillars. The driver had no business speeding in from the side road coming into a junction.

The moment I read the heading of this thread, the first thought that came to my mind was, what happened to the cement pillar?

Built like a tank, eh?

The palio must be hurt, took in his chest. What if some other vehicle did that to the same post, would have been worse.

Would be nice to see what the T-800 will look like after such an incident. Maybe we could try the T-Zen, T-Getz and T-Indica too. LOL

Agree with dceite,
doubt the engine is damaged. Some other car would be an inverted V shape right now.
