I have seen lot of Indian cars in South Africa. Tata indica vista, Safari, xenon pickup(its known as "bakkie" there as its derived from Afrikaans). I have also seen TATA 307 used by Johannesburg Metro Police.

Apart from TATA, even Mahindra have a huge presence with Scorpio, scorpio pickup(bakkie), Bolero, Xylo.

Sorry guys no pics as I have lost them

Tata Indica DLX in Poland captured this afternoon on a highway in Poland. Have seen at least 5 or 6 in the last 5 months.

re: Pics: Indian vehicles in foreign countries

On my recent trip to Thailand (Koh Samui island), I got to see a few Xenon (single cabs) on the road. They were used to ferry people or load. Also saw a Safari Storme, quite a few Swifts, Ciaz, Jazz and a couple of Celerio.

Isuzu seems to be a popular brand there, along with Honda. Honda cars (maily Jazz and Accord) and Isuzu SUVs (old DMax, new DMax, VCross, MU-7, MU-X) are very popular among the local people to be used as personal cars. On the other hand, Toyota Innova non-Crysta (petrol/diesel), old Fortuners and Commuter vans are used as taxis. You won't find them as personal cars. The new-gen Fortuner is used by the hotels and resorts for transporting guests.

Another observation, people are crazy about accessories, especially alloys and lift kits. Even old, rundown, beaten trucks are running on good alloys.

Sorry but how is this an Indian car? Because it was sold by Maruti Suzuki?

I don't get it how one can completely misunderstand the meaning of the thread topic.

Agreed. Thats the Suzuki Cultus Wagon, which was "also" sold here in India as the Baleno Altura.

re: Pics: Indian vehicles in foreign countries

Unfortunately most of the cars in this thread are not Indian in anyway. They are famous international brands selling cars almost everywhere in this world. According to me, an Indian car is something made by Tata, Mahindra etc and not a Japanese car made in India.
