Spotted the A5 in Chakala recently :

Spotted this car at Audi Mumbai West when i went to pick up my car post service. Sweet but could be mistaken for the A4 from certain angles. Should be available in 2.7 & 3.0 TDI guises like in Europe.

@ i<3turbo - What would the petrol variant come with ? The 265hp 3.2 fsi out of the current petrol V6 A4 or the 300hp supercharged 3.0T from the A6? the later would make more sense.

The petrol varients will have a 2.0t fwd, and 3.2 fsi quattro. By the way i doubt it will come with the 2.7 tdi. It will have the option of 3.0 tdi quattro or 2.0 tdi fwd.

I think it might be a CKD for the non quattro varients which will be a hit because it will basically be a 2dr 4 seater sports car in diesel for under 45 lacs.

This is the pre-facelift car. India will get the refreshed version very soon

Yea what he said and atleast they are testing out the quattro models so now im starting to think that only the awd models will be available.

Audi ought to use this to counter the BMW 330d coupe. A5 3.0TDi quattro with an RS kit would be a sweet offering.

I guess that's what the plan is. Unless they completely mess it up by launching it only with the supercharged 3.0T, we should have some great competition at hand.
