Bentley Continental GT in Delhi

This monster belongs to a gentleman with an awe inspring collection. I see him at Kalkaji Temple every morning on the way to college. He seems to switch his cars every month. So far I have seen-

Porsche Carrera 997 (Silver)
Cayenne S (Maroon)
Bentley Arnage (Maroon)
Rolls Royce Silver Seraph (Midnight Blue)
Jaguar XJS (Maroon)
Mercedes SL500 (Silver)
Mercedes S Class (Silver)

Tried to talk to him, but he didnt seem too keen on sharing his toys. People ogling his cars must be unwanted attention for him, I suppose. Whatever his faults may be, he certainly has impeccable taste AND he drives all these cars himself (very rare in Delhi where idiots hunch up in the back seats of their C Classes).

Apparently owns a lot of petrol pumps. The sound of the Bentley starting up was just divine. To paraphrase JC "The god of thunder...gargling with nails."

I purposely havent blacked out the licence frame since it is "applied for".

Very nice color for a Continental GT!

btw, can anyone of you living in Delhi tell me where the owner of this car would take this car for servicing? Will he take it to Patel Motors (or something like that)?

Thanks.

It was in Delhi for registration purpose,as the owner wanted a DL no. with a special number. Its in Mumbai now and owned by a celebrity/businessman.

well the convoy cars which escorted the businessman all had the same
DLxx 8888 numbers and they were all black ...2 scorpios and a Qualis..its a businessmans car (my mum works at the same place where he went to that evening) who is from delhi ..

what sucked however was that the whole convoy entered from the no entry causing a major chaos in the traffic flow under the corporate building and the gaurds were just sitting on their arses ...

Will try and get photos of his other cars. As I mentioned, he wasnt particularly keen on me taking these ones either. Seems to be a charitable soul otherwise...

Amit

The car you clicked at the MotoExtreme was the saloon sibling of the GT, the Continental Flying Spur. I had a test drive of the car some time back . Was an exhilarating experience.

Read about it here
