Am not sure whoever was driving this car knew what he was doing.
The cooling ducts near the engine seem to be blocked.
The guy who took the picture claims the showroom guy was ripping the car and that it was overheating .
Lamborghini has made cut-outs for cooling but thats for getting in and out the showroom not be taken on the highway at high speeds .

That guy is seriously a nut. How can you drive such a powerful V12 which needs a lot of air to cool the engine with this on it? It should at least be driven slowly rather than at high speeds.
But I fail to understand why the car is being driven covered in this manner. I know this is the protective covering they ship the car with and use it when being taken in & out of the showroom but the car is not meant to be driven with this on. It looks as if it is being camouflaged which makes no sense at all since this is not a "to be launched in the future" car. It has been around for sometime now. Even the front cooling ducts are blocked!!

The car wouldn't be 'ripping at high speeds' at all according to the person who clicked this photograph and there's a reason for that. The car would need to be unlocked from 'transport mode' which it comes in when shipped. I guess that limits the car to lower speeds until its electronic brain is told it needs to come off and that is done either at the showroom or on delivery of the car to the customer.

It isn't very difficult to change the focal length, shutter speed etc to make it look like its doing a 100+ mph.

If the car was much faster than the scooter, then one of them should have been heavily blurred. So probably its doing 50-60kmph

At this point, I'd like to mention that a car like the Aventador looks fast even if it were being driven slowly. It's something that just can't be helped. It looks like it's always doing 200 km/h

Let me explain..

The Aventador costs 3-4 crores after duties. So that should give you an indication of the costs of little parts like body-panels, wing mirrors, etc. While driving a car, you don't know what can happen to it. Even at slow speeds you might find small stones or debris flying towards the car, perhaps from a truck ferrying the stones? and particles can easily scratch, dent or leave marks on the body and paint-work.

Now after spending 4 crores on your beloved supercar, you most certainly wouldn't want it to arrive at your house with chipped paint or little dents. It's going to cost you a fortune to repair it.

This covering will help prevent this from happening.

I'm surprised that the car wasn't being ferried in a flat-bed truck!(maybe they were on strike) Have seen new imports being delivered to owners house in a flat-bed. Also i believe sometimes owners opt for a flat bed service to take the car for servicing.
