Well, the singer's car looks eerily similar to the Spec V. Now I think it indeed is the Spec V, but the person who shot the car says there were no V badges on the fenders or scuff plates.

Yeah the V Spec rims are missing so is the "V" on the coachline at the fender area. Even, there are no V badges,plaques or stitching on the inside.

Megastar Amitabh bachchan has gifted his make-up man of over 20 years a Range Rover Discovery. The story says Mr. Bachchan has given his Range Rover to the make up artist but I wasnt aware the star had a discovery.

@fullrevs, going by the pic in link in your post, front looks like range rover not the discovery. on the other hand Indian media can be all over the ball park with car names. Still a great reward for loyalty and good work for make up artist.

Seems he has gifted his Range Rover which he was using regularly till some years back. Some of his cars maybe including this one as well were affected by the flooding in Juhu which is a low lying area.
His everyday car now i guess is a Maroon Land Cruiser. A nice gesture by the Superstar, maintaining this Range Rover will cost a bomb i'm sure!

I hope the poor guy can sell it on without upsetting Mr B as the maintenance and niggles will bleed him. It might be a bit of a white elephant literally

Yes indeed it is a White Elephant. The SUV was severely damaged in the Mumbai floods. Although it was restored completely, the originality was lost.

It is going to need really deep pockets to Run and maintain this monster.

Not that "poor guy" I suppose. I don't think we should judge his financials just by the fact that he is AB's makeup man, I read that he's also a producer and has produced a few Bhojpuri movies. In fact AB also acted in one of them (Ganga) released in 2006. I think he'll do just fine with the car.

Definitely, infact AB trades off his cars after 3-4 years of usage, this Range Rover is one that he held on to since 2002 because he was too fond of this car. Even if Mr. Sawant doesn't drive it everyday I'm sure he'll treasure it for its sentimental value.
