Bollywood Stars and their Cars

FYI - He sure is driving around in his new Cali. Yesterday he visited an office at Mahalaxmi (next to Famous Studio) and drove the Cali himself. Unfortunately it's an extremely narrow lane and when he had to go out - he had to reverse it for almost 70 odd yards with very less clearance on either side but he managed. My colleagues were swearing by the engine roar though (he revved it a bit in neutral).

The California looks so so very ordinary. A Z4 seems to have way better stance and poise than this.

I had the same thing in mind , personally to me without any offence to anyone , I like the older Ferraris a lot more , no doubt the 458 looks the best when compared to a Cali or the ff which almost looks like an alfa Romeo , the 430 still looks stunning

I agree with both of you that in the looks department, the California does leave one expecting more specially because its a "FERRARI" but i think as Speedy mentioned, it is one of the most comfortably drivable Ferrari for Indian roads. I mean in the pics we can see the ground clearance. At 150mm I think its very good for a sports car. Moreover it's a hard top convertible at lesser price, that's an added bonus

Plus its a Ferrari with a decent boot space for luggage, 360 L with roof up and 260 L with roof down. Absolutely no offense to anyone but if I have that kind of money someday then my choice would be the more practical Ferrari California. Like I mentioned earlier in one of my posts "To Each His Own".

I have read in some places that the California is in essence a Masertai (Its performance credentials being lesser than the others in the Ferrari Line up) with a Ferrari Badge.

But in my opinion any Maserati has a much better poise and design compared to the Ferrari California.

The California was surely the chosen one and not any other Ferrari, quite simply because the acquired car has costed much more than the 458, considering the options that the car is loaded with.
The choice was clearly the car and not the invoice price.

HIS MONEY,HIS CHOICE,HIS CAR.

Whats to us whichever Ferrari he buys?Thats his choice whichever he wants.We are no-one to comment on which car he should have bought.

At the end of the day its a FERRARI.
We should be happy that a New Ferrari California has been added to the Exotics list in Mumbai

Saw the Cali occupying pride of place at Imran Khan's bungalow on Pali hill (pays to be his neighbour!) It was getting a thorough clean and wax job in the morning and some curious peeking at the underbody of the car as well - perhaps its already been victim to some oversized speed breaker or stray boulder on the Mumbai roads??!!!

AFAIK the California looks to be loaded with the Carbon Fiber trim on the outside (See front bumper lip). That alone is a cool 20L option. And if the interiors are done in the same trim, the California would be costing another 70 Lacs+ on top of the base price.
