My Friend even these cars a G's and not GL's. Adding two pics for reference and their body styles are way to different that you even need to see the badge.
OMG....I now realize the gross mistake I've been making, I knew all along those were Gs... somehow I keep typing GL subconsciously.... extremely sorry

Re: Berlin-Himalayan Expedition team spotted near Siliguri (Merc G500's)

I was going through the History of the G Class and understood the legacy behind this car.
The G-Class is being used as Military vehicles in different designs in 33 countries around the world. It is one of the strongest vehicles produced till date. The design hasn't been much altered since it was launched first in 1979. Please visit the wikipedia link to know more about the legend Mercedes-Benz G-Class - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Petrol prices in Germany and Netherlands are much higher compared to India. In Germany per liter of petrol is around a little over Rs100 and in Netherlands its slightly more. So these guys most probably find it cheap here in India.

Re: Berlin-Himalayan Expedition team spotted near Siliguri (Merc G500's)

Thanks! Was hoping to have a bhpian spot this expedition. Had been following a bit of it on the official G-Klasse page on Facebook.

Here's the link to the expedition called "Journey to the Roof of the World"

Cheers,
Adi
