It would seem that only
now the cars have actually begun testing. What does this mean an additional +6 Months before deliveries? or longer :S ??
Seen the Dc Avanti, On the expressway (pune-mumbai)yesterday, looked good from the front, was driving so could not click, but has road presence. have they started deliveries, this one was yellow.

They had a newer V6 Supercharged version coming up AFAIK, its that maybe.

I saw this car in Chandigarh yesterday. Any idea what make is it?
I couldn't get a better look. Just enough to take a couple of pics. It sped off before I could talk to the owner. Maharashtra number plate.
Chandigarh seems to be an odd choice for a supercar testing or maybe it is a custom job. Your opinions.
Isn't this the DC sports car? I thought it was launch ready, than why the testing and camouflage?
Pretty sure that is the DC Avanti. Although I dont understand the point of the camouflage since the car was showcased way back in 2012.
They are coming out with minor exterior changes. Maybe that's the reason for the camouflage.

Yes Indeed it is DC Avanti production version with some exterior tweaks. The car was seen in NCR and Pune aswell.
Spotted the Avanti testing on NH8 just before the Baroda-Ahmadabad Expressway starts. Could manage to get a few pics before it went on to continue towards Ahmedabad on the Expressway.

Spotted again in Delhi today morning.
DC seems to be in a hurry.. it is being spotted everywhere.

I remember seeing the car back in the expo, and drooling all over it, even rushing to get DC's auto, when he came out of his cabin! But, now that I look at it, it seems a BIT TOO overdone. stupid: The interiors and wheels don't look proportionately dazzling either!
Would still love to see an Indian-made Sports car, though :D
Just out of curiousity, how many Avantis were booked in India? Last I knew DC had 500 bookings in November 2012, when he had said he would deliver 300 by the end of 2013, changed his statement to deliver them in March 2014...
What is the scenario now?
