We plan to launch the chennai exotic car club on 31/3/12 , followed by a track event the next day . Details will be posted soon

Here is what we can look forward to.

High points:

• South India's first Exotic Car Club

• The launch of the club will be on Saturday, the 31st of March.

• We then plan to have a friendly drag-race with no serious competition.

• There are no membership-charges or fees. But it's based only on invitation.

• The club intends to get like minded car owners together and take it to the next level.

• We plan to do three to four track events in a year, get drivers from Europe and offer special courses on the track.

• We have confirmed all the cars (below) as participants and their owners as members for now and not charging any entrance-fee for the track, The cars that will be seen are:

1. - Ferrari 458 Italia
2. - Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4
3. - Audi R8 V10
4. - Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder
5. - Couple of Audi R8 V8s
6. - BMW //M cars
7. - Mercedes Benz AMG cars and SL (500 and 600)
8. - Jaguar XK-R
9. - Jaguar XF-R
10. - Rolls Royces
11. - Bentleys, and many more

If open to public is there are entry fee or is it Free ?

Some of these cars will be present , not the vintage though

I do hope this keeps the rich racing history of Madras alive! The DBS Volante owner in Bangalore had spoken earlier to me and Manish, of his many experiences on the track decades ago.

Excellent stuff, will be a treat to see these beauties at one of the events!

Will there be drives through the city like the ones that happen in Bombay?

Today's DC had an advt in the 1st page of Chennai Chronicle about the track day on 1-April-2012 for the exotic beauties, with the headline being about a Ferrari racing a Lamborghini. Sounds interesting and might come down to the track.
