I remember till 2006, numbers from 1 to 10 were reserved for government vehicles and no 7 was given to dhoni as an exception.
However they later decided decided to sell whatever was not used by government vehicles for Rs 40k.
This may not be 100% correct now.
In any case, be ready to pay over and above the prescribed fees under table.

Audi showroom coming up in Ranchi in the next two months. The location has been finalised and the work has already been started a week ago. With already so many Audi's in the city, I must say its a welcome move.

It will definitely be a welcome move for Audi owners who probably had to ferry their cars to Kolkata for service through some treacherous roads.

Yes this is the first premium car dealership in the city. Mercedes is looking at possibilities to open a dealership in Jamshedpur, but that is not yet confirmed. Once Audi starts the operations, BMW, Mercedes and Jaguar-Land Rover might follow suit.

So Ranchi becomes the third city in the east to get premium car dealerships, after Kolkata and Bhubaneswar.

I am surprised there was no presence yet of any premium car maker, considering Merc has had a service presence in Bhubaneswar for more than a decade, and BMW has been around for about 4-5 years at least.

BMW and JLR, both have common dealers for Bhubaneswar and Kolkata, and they may request the same operators to open dealerships in Ranchi too, to match Audi's move.

Things are looking up for Jharkhand.
