I am not counting the older lot of S classes. There is a CLS 500 there with Amg wheels and Exhaust system similar to the S class in the Picture.
Ahem Ahem!! Is this the car i queried about?? Though i was more interested in the owners.....Speedy knows what i am talking about!

In these times, you can get every accessory on a base model so that it looks like the top model. I feel that accessories which are standard on the top-of-the-line models should not be offered on the lower models. This dilutes the image of the top models.

This could well be an S600 for all you know or even the "base" S350. Have also seen a silver de-badged Merc with no rear logos but only a small DC symbol under the boot. Have a feeling it could be DC's personal drive.

The car in the pic could very well be an S320 Cdi with the optional 500 wheels, panoramic roof and park sensors. The exhaust on the S350 and S500 are not visible from the rear.

Its defenetly not S600 or neither AMG models, mainly because of following reasons:

1. On S600's bottom part of the rear bumber there is a cutting in which the exhaust pipe is exposed off.

2. In any S600, there is chance of using the standard 'S600' design alloys or upgrade with 19" or 20" alloys or even the AMG alloys.

3. For both AMG models namely S65 & S63, both comes with the AMG body kit as standard.

4. Normally debadgging is done in case the car is S350/S320 CDI with panoramic roof, so that other misunderstand that its a S500.

This is only possible in the Import model S classes and not in the standard S classes from Pune. In the import models you can debadge the car designation as well.

The Models that have panoramic roofs are the ones that are imported. So you can add the exposed exhausts in the S 350 as well. What you are talking off is the regular S350 and S500.

They even put that yellow stripe on the Phantoms headlamp!
I don't get why the Gujarat RTO insists on it ?

'600' regn S is not S600. I'm not aware of the grey one in the first photo. Normally there will be a V12 badge on the front fender for S600, bu some people remove it too.

Ofcource, it could defenetly be S500, since the 5-spoke alloys of the black (regn 600) is the standard wheels for S500!

How come the S class doesn't have any dirty yellow stripe on its right headlight? Does it have to do with the height of the light or something moronic like that?
