Yes, but not applicable on heavily-tuned street cars used for track purposes. You need a strictly track-legal car.

In UK, many companies offer track day insurance. Also, if you use a modified street car, then a normal car insurance does the trick, provided the insurance company doesn't define track events as racing, and excludes cover for damage resulting due to such "racing". Considering this is a track-only car, I assume the only option would be some sort of private insurance. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Let me put this straight and clear, it's not a biggie, you need to register a vehicle ONLY if you intend to drive it on the public roads (which you would, because that's what most of us use vehicles for), but with these track cars are neither road legal nor practical (extremely low GC, runs on slick tyres, violates every possible sound norm, runs on high-octane race fuel etc) to be driven on public roads.

It's not the money factor, you don't register a, go-kart, a jet-ski or an ATV, do you? Just like that, these are purpose built recreational vehicles.

You sound pretty sure for a person who has no clue what's going on

@dominator: Is this car going to be based in Bombay? I don't think we have a good race track in the city to do justice to this four wheeled insanity!

The Fuel Filling system for the car. Full from left side, empty from right side, to release air.

Dominator, can we have some interior shots?

Also, some detailed proper exterior ones since the car reached the "complete" garage

It would be great if you could post more pictures rather than one picture every 2 days.

I think carbon ceramics are fade-free. Innit?

The spare could be in case of any damage.

I'd say, less prone to fade...

On the Aventador, Lamborghini says the carbon brakes will outlast the car (but then again, its a "road" car, and typically won't have a lot of miles on it).

This however is a different ballgame.

The buzz and excitement can be sensed and I am sure the suspense is killing, but just wait and watch. There is more coming.

The carbon ceramics would typically last for 2 track days.
Air cylinders are for portable pneumatic tools.
