...most probably a Nova then. The only thing that bothers me is that the rear quarter windows are upwardly shaped and in the Nova this is not how it was. The windows were more or less parallel to the Road i.e. straightish. Could this be a Chevelle (no it had four headlamps not two) and is not a vega either as the grille is very unlike the vega...or is it a Valiant?? (Gosh here we go again)
This, my friends is a 1974 Ford Maverick two-door coupe.

There are some home-made mods, though, such as the sail mirror and sunroof.

Ask me, I've enjoyed owning and selling a four-door version.
I'm rather balding now but this was when I had a full head of hair.

Mine had a 4.1 litre (250 cu.in) 6-cylinder in-line, that developed 155 bhp@ 4000 rpm; 324 Nm@ 1600 rpm
Of course there was a Maverick "Grabber" version with Ford's 302V8.
This green one is a 1972.

till a few years ago, there used to be a lovely deep metallic blue maveric coupe in delhi, an elderly lady used it.....with a driver!!! yes she used the back seat only!!! the car was always driven slowly (though it smoked a bit) and was complete and perfect in every respect...one could see it regularly in the evenings around the lodhi garden /khan market area.
somehow a former rally champion based in delhi got hold of it... and that was the end. last i saw, it had a cleaply done garrish red exterior with black racing stripes all over, new tasteless interior, big bore exhaust and huge alloy wheels.

Don't know iraghava!
I don't know where zaphod photographed his derelicts.
And am somewhat unfamiliar with Delhi geography.
What is the Palika bazaar? A colleague at work told me it's some underground flea-market for fake designer brands and pirated CDs and other unlicensed stuff, where women are unsafe. Is that really true?

This does look like palika parking.
Ram you are right It is indeed the hub of pirated DVDs and CDs, chipped PS2s and PS3s and recently a young gal was gang raped in broad daylight but for that matter ask any women in Delhi, for them the whole city is unsafe.

Its bad some guys don't have respect for their cars. :(
Whats more pathetic is that the owners dont even want to sell these beauties for sentimental reasons (Or put an exhorbitant price for their sentiments) and prefer to see these animals die with them.
