it's an e21, first gen 3 series, the model before the e30. dual headlights were on the 316 and 318 while the 320 had quad.
I called up and he quoted 13L I know of e30's at a tenth of that price!!

re: Pics: Imports gathering dust in India

Have been noticing a red Porsche 944 (or probably the older Mazda RX-7) lying unattended on Malad link road. The car is covered and only a part of the rear was visible. Just got a glimpse of it - but its mostly a 944. Was driving so could not get a pic.

Also, seen a Pontiac Bonneville Brougham lying unattended in a garage on the Malad Dahisar link road.

And a junked E12 5 series with an asking price of a Samsung Galaxy S4 (yes for around Rs 30,000).

None at all. The rear is completely debadged and i tried to ask around yesterday but no one seemed to be sure. The only answer i got was that she has been lying around 3 years or so without any work having been done on her.

Saw this Silver BMW at Vile Parle (E) at 11 am today. The car looked in a bad shape.

Looks like it'll reach the breakers soon, would have loved to have it as a parts car if it was manual and had the right engine

re: Pics: Imports gathering dust in India

Came across this article regarding lowering prices of luxury cars. The article focuses on how the localization of parts of the exotics have helped the manufacturers to tame prices anything in the range of 10 to 30 lacs!

Spoke to the rather rude daughter of the owner, who responded with a "NO WE ARE NOT INTERESTED, DO NOT CALL AGAIN".

just noticed. hard to tell with the damage.
note: (1)the trunk lacks the e12 slope, and (2) location of both side markers
I like the e28 more, not as rare though.

This car, AFAIK shares garage with a XKR Convertible and a XFR. Not sure if there are two XFR's too.
Guess that explains the reason for that sorry state.

Just saw this on Facebook.

Really a sad sight. Still on temp plates even

Is anyone aware of the antecedents?
