Team-BHP - BMW i8 spotted in India!

Found this pic of the BMW i8 in India ahead of the AE2014 launch.

If you'd remember, the concept i* also made a visit to India few years back for the MI filming, this is the final production version.

According to some insiders, the car is rumored to be priced around 1.4cr.

Judging by the way the people are dressed, the looks to be in Delhi for the AE2014. According to the BMW guys 8 cars are slotted for india and one is already sold. The car according to the Bombay dealer is in the 2+ cr ex showroom range.

Wow! This is one long-awaited super car. If it really gives what it is said to, I hope to see quite a few on our roads. Nice to see it finally made to our shores. Nice find!

On-road price will be well over the Rs.2 Crore mark for sure.

I heard from my BMW Dealer that the Chennai Service Managers, were sent recently to Delhi for training on new technologies in BMW and servicing the vehicles. Apparently, only a few exclusive dealers were invited in the country, will check on this, might be a pre training to the i8 launch, :)

Here's what I sourced out from bharathautos.com and shifting-gears.com. Apparently from the shabby snaps, I guess, both the i8s come with the iBlue tinge along with 20" W-spoke tires. IMO, the Turbine 625 would look more plush.
