No. A lot of diplomatic cars are seen in the database. Private imports too can be seen. Only Carnet is missing.

This is just because, for all carnet transactions, no system entry is done, as the custom's system doesn't have any option to accept Carnet. The database of Zauba is basically a dump of each and every shipment declaration( whether imports or export) which has been triggered to the customs systems. For exports the data is basis the Shipping Bill whereas for imports, it's basis the Bill of Entry.

The clearance for Carnet is done manually (the typical office office stuff, all on files with communications between the customs/importer on the note sheets).

Ok I know this is off the beaten track a bit but I found this website which tracks import data and lo and behold we have a CBR 650 imported and it clearly mentions for research purposes! Does not bode well for an early 2015 launch though as it seems a little late for Honda to have only started testing now.

On another note did a search for the KTM duke 690 and there was a whole lot of stuff for the duke 690 which has been re-imported into the country after being rejected. Not sure if this is a kudos to KTM or a thumbs down to Bajaj because Bajaj is apparently manufacturing the forks,shocks and cables here and exporting it to KTM but still getting a lot of rejects back.

Homologation in means certification process. It generally applies to motorsports. Its my wild guess that they've been imported for certification process for various Indian laws. I am absolutely guessing the purpose but homologation in brief means certifications.
