They were imported for these races held in Madras Motorsports Club Race Track, also posted some pics of the race event i attended, Cheers
Amazing!

But I see there were 12 new F2000's imported.. They already assembled 25 F2000's but the new ones are completely built. Some company might be starting a racing series? What could it be?

Re: Data of Cars imported into India: Available online!

The MRF F2000 is now a two year old series, the new cars were imported to replace a few cars which have been involved in race accidents and wear and tear, so i don't think anyone else will be setting up a rival series.
The two biggies of indian motorsports has always been JK Tyre and MRF Tyres, the two race series are great for budding formula racers in India.
Also MRF has a secondary series to the F2000, called F1600 with Ford engines, cheers

The Chery was spotted at Tardeo RTO in Mumbai. I have posted pics in the appropriate thread.

They are imported by someone else, not Ford.

Guess that gives us some hints about the expected launch price!
Good find there . I assumed ex showroom price for R25 would be around 2.5L, now its almost certain that price would hover around that mark. Good luck to Bajaj selling 4L Ninja 300's, unless they bring in the 250SL this year, well no game here to play for them.

There's one Grand Cherokee Summit in Ludhiana. It must be the same one. Attaching a pic of the same.

I am expecting the price to hover around the 2.50L mark too. Let's just hope it does.

The spy pics of the production model don't seem that exciting to me but at that price point, I would certainly buy one!

Re: Data of Cars imported into India: Available online!

Just used this amazing site to check out the facts behind the recent Moto E launch on flipkart that took the entire eCommerce industry by storm.

Moto E that was launched yesterday (14th May '14) ran outta stock in less than 24hours of the launch.

A quick check of the import manifest suggests that more than 37,000 units were shipped from China to Flipkart's warehouse in B'lore on the 12&13th of May. It also suggests the kinda margins they make on the phone!

Here's a snapshot of the data:

I don't think so. If you see the name Samit Thapar, as well as the mention of "WRC" seat and Corsica steering wheel - it all points to rallying.

Yep, those look like the parts for Samir Thapar's Rally Evo X. The car was done up at Racetech Bangy as well as took part in a rally here in Karnataka(Chikmaglur).
