Re: Lamborghini Huracán in India

I liked all the bits and pieces on the Lambo except the trunk lid. A bit too loud and doesn't suit the car. Rest of the bits are lovely and add to the looks of the baby bull. But again, owners money, his choice.

Another picture of the 'SRT610' via Throttle Blips (OT: Is this BHP-ian Dippy's venture?)

Yes it is. Throttle Blips is Dippy's and his brother Kartik's (tbhp handle: Fireblader85) new venture.

Nice wheels on the #SRT610 !

Apparently that is the 'world's first bare carbon Huracan Novitec bonnet'. Nice to see supercars from India leading the way!.
Woah! That bull looks like it is straight out of NFS ! Does the owner have any performance mods on the pipeline? IMO, I think it should get a blacked out roof (a la Bicolore); then it'll look even cooler.

Nope no performance mods on this one. It's already running on Lamborghini Accessori Originali Race exhausts and BMC SuperTrofeo air filters which collectively bump the power by approx 30hp.

And they have finally released the video of it!

Does the optional factory sports exhaust really add 40hp? Sounds a little exaggerated to me.

Yes, the factory race exhaust bumps power up by roughly 5%-7%. This translates to an additional 30hp-40hp.

Lamborghini Huracán in India

So I got a chance to drive this beast on the track on my trip to the US this June!

I also got to drive a 911 GT3, Nissan GT-R, and 458 Italia!

And I have to say, it was clearly the easiest sportscar to drive! It just holds the line so well! Oh and the sound! Crazy sound (although the 458 trumped it here coz it had a Novitec exhaust!)

This thing was absolutely brilliant and I clocked the fastest lap times on this as it was the easiest to drive fast. And since it came with the optional carbon ceramic brakes, it was easier to stop closer to the turn and quicker and jump out at the apex almost as fast! And get this, first turn came up, the instructor told me to hit the brakes, and, to my surprise the brakes squealed! And my instructor was like, don't worry about it, the brakes just aren't warm enough yet. Not. Warm. Enough. It was 45-50 degrees celsius in Austin that day and the car had already probably done at least 10 sets of 3 Laps each before me!

I have to say it was the second most fun car to drive!

First being the GT-R! That thing is a work of art! It is a higher set car and it handles completely different from the rest as it rides taller, not that it affects the car's handling! It is also a precision machine!

Well this clearly deserves its own separate thread, but in the International Automotive section or Street and Travel Experiences section. So please do the needful! Would be nice for lesser mortals like me to clarify my doubts without hijacking this thread.
Looking forward to it!

Awaiting the thread as "the easiest to drive fast car" and "fastest lap" in the Huracán were not enough to make it the most fun to drive compared to the gtr. Would really like to get your views on it when the thread comes up.

Re: Lamborghini Huracán in India

Hi All,

Since the sales figures for this amazing supercar are not published anywhere, and I keep seeing pictures of new ones almost every month, I was really curious to know how many there are in the whole of India, so I did a quick search in Zauba, and found that since it's introduction in July 2014, a total of 34 Lamborghini Huracáns have been imported to India till date

I was quite shocked to see this number, as I didn't expect to see that many, considering the cost involved! Thumbs up to the Lamborghini India team, as I'm sure that there would be less takers if their service wasn't good. Also, I could be mistaken here, but this possibly means that there are more Huracáns than Gallardos in India
