The accident involved an Audi A4, a BMW, Audi R8 and an i10. The i10 was driving pretty rash and trying to race everyone. When the other cars stopped, he couldn't brake in time and hit the A4 at a pretty high speed. The A4 was at about 20kmph and the guy had pressed the brakes. But due to the impact of i10, it hit the R8 in the front and the BMW on the left hand side.
Apparently, a few cars from the convoy had stopped almost in the middle of the sea link!
All the information was given by a friend who was driving the A4.

The i10 was driven by a 18 or 19 year old kid who was accompanied by a couple of friends. And since there was no way he could pay the repair bill, all the people just took his number and let him go. The R8 drove off. The A4 couldn't be driven and was taken on a flatbed.

Did the 348 of GS breakdown? I spotted it under covers after Sealink Toll Booth while heading towards Bandra.

It's sad to hear about the accident involving a multitude of cars. The damage seems extensive and will be around a few lacs for the r8 and even for the a4. I'm not sure about the other drivers but if I was a supercar owner myself, I would be a bit hesitant to bring the car to such events where you're exposed to the consequences of brash/negligent driving of other vehicles.

The Super Car Club would like to clarify that the Hyundai i10/Audi R8/Audi A4 that was involved in the accident today, are not part of the Show.

Just a question, why is that when there is an accident the organizers deny the participation of the involved cars. If i can recall, the organisers denied participation of the Silver Audi R8 that caught fire as well.

Because these cars were actually not a part of the show or convoy.
Co-incidence has it that these cars were out for a spin during the convoy's run and the incident occurred to them only.

The organizers prefer to clarify such incidents because because firstly, they were not a part of the show. Secondly, with such accidents happening on the day of such a big show even though they were not a part of the convoy, the public unknowingly tends to blame the organizers. So such clarifications are much needed to prevent negative publicity.

Yes it did. Just after crossing the toll, the 348 stalled. The driver tried cranking it a few times but failed. The car was there under covers till a flatbed truck arrived to ferry it back.

Fantastic cars and thanks for sharing.

May be the shadows underneath the cars in these photos are fooling me with their actual GC, but to me, they look too little for them to cross any speed breakers in India as they just lie flat to the surface. Do these owners select the roads to drive or does it not scrap on usual/common speed breakers. Thanks for someone to clarify.
