no IMO people don't opt for them, cuz most people with that kind of money want the flash factor, they're not real enthusiasts, just want people to look at them and go wow [Alfa is a lesser known brand with the general public]
and those who know their cars, probably think that Alfa's history isn't as impressive as the other options...

rims look to shiny to be sl65.....unless the owner changed it.

65s usually have matte black rims at least the one's i've seen all around the world.

Maybe these two pictures, similarly positioned as the one above, should clarify our doubts as to why it's probably a 55. Differences in 55/65 - engine displacement, horsepower, acceleration, sounds, exterior differences and PRICE. Too lazy to type out individual figures in terms of differences.

maybe the headlight is reflecting on the rims making them appear shiny.

you have a choice of 9 rims for SL from AMG.

I note your point. However, based purely on that picture, I feel it's the multispoke in the one shot in traffic. Does not by any means appear as any other form of the AMG alloy, be it the smoked twin 5spokes, the standard 5 spoke, starred, etc etc.

why no alfa romeo?,do you think they are not worth opting for?[/quote]

i don't think alfa-romeo's are good looking in any way. they are very unconventional in terms of design. speaking of the brera the frond looks good but the back looks too weird for a sportscar.

Finally spotted the white M3 with glass (?) top that Ive been hearing so much about, yellow plates MH 03 TR regn. The thing looked absolutely like a million dollars. A few subtle exterior changes takes it such a long way from the regular 3, fantastic.

Haha! It's actually carbon fibre reinforced plastic, not glass! I actually got the car registered just this evening, though the number I want is still not available. As for the styling, I agree, the changes are fairly minor, but the overall effect is quite something!

Hence I added the question mark Superb!

I was the bloke in the beige 62 Amby turning in at one of the Southern Command by lanes.

Cheers
