Are you sure its C320cdi, was it 230 or 220cdi ? I never knew C came with a 3.L S block !?

@ Scorcher; definately badged as a C320 CDI, they are available in Europe. I know one has definately been brought into Pune and registered, I wonder if it is the same car? It might have been a special order IF it really is a C320 CDI and not someone just putting those badges on a regular C-Class.

I don't know whether the C is available as 320 cdi or not.
I can't understand why would someone import a higher spec C-class here. If he had that much money to spend he could have gone for an E-class or some other cars in that range!

Wait for 3 months, the mercedes guy @ B U Bhandari told me that there are two G55 AMGs due to arrive in Pune along with a S600. Already a SLK has been brought and spotted the one yesterday on my way towards Jehangir Hospital.

There is already an S600 in the scheme where I live; a new Black BMW X6 has also arrived into the parking lot.

The C320 CDI is a great sleeper sports saloon, similar to the Audi A4 3.0 TDi. 0-100KPH in approx 6.5 sec, 250KPH max speed (restricted) and Diesel economy as well!

What's not to understand? Just because you have the money does not mean you want a bigger car. Some people want smaller, sportier cars that they can drive and park themselves. Makes perfect sense.

@Raja - a black X6 - seems to be the north indian guy who owns Hero Honda showroom near Phugewadi on old Mumbai - Pune highway. He has a taste for SUVs i guess. i keep seeing X5 and ML almost every alternate day outside that showroom.

Sunday 3 PM:
Spotted a VW Golf MK VI, I think thats the current gen. Spotted it in the Hotel Sun-n-Sand parking lot, I had gone there for a conference and looking at the stunning parking lot I got delayed in the conference by 15 mins.

Along with the Golf, I saw a Bentley CGT, a Range Rover Sport (it said supercharged), a gorgeous looking Beemer 7-series. (All these are already known to the people and are frequent on this thread so the Golf wins the pack).

Its really a big hatch, bigger than perhaps any other hatchback available on Indian road till date, was quite comparable to the Fiat Bravo doing the rounds in Pune these days.

It was the SE variant and had automatic gearbox and was riding on 205/55 R16" with alloys, the bolts in the alloys were something new to me, seemed as if they cannot be opened so easily and would require some special equipment.

Sunday 5:30 PM:
While returning from the same conference spotted a metallic silver colored Mazda Miata MX5 (hard top) parked along the roadside in front of the Chevy showroom on the University Road, hope this car has already been discussed here. It had MH regn and driven by a lady. the overall ride height seemed to be lower than my Alto :d , but a beautiful looking sports car. I am not sure where to get these things serviced and repaired in Pune / India. Miata is IMO one of the most affordable yet impressive sports car / amateur entery level super car.

Spotted a silver Toyota RAV4, it was a consulate car & my guess is that it was from Mumbai, no not because it was a consulate car but because it had the logos missing

Hey I keep seeing this Touran a lot in Hinjewadi. I also saw it near the circus when it was playing at Deccan. Is this a company vehicle ?
By the way I think I saw a VW Phaeton in Hinjewadi. At first I thought it was a passat but it seemed wider and the VW logo on the boot lid seemed much larger. Owing to the traffic , I lost it.

It's not a Touran. It's a Multivan. Dark green if I'm not mistaken? It is a company vehicle. There are two Phaeton's in Pune. One dark green and the other dark blue. You are right...it's much wider then the Passat.

Spotted Fiat 500 n Nano side by side in O Hotels parking lot...

Also spotted the same Chrysler 300 (MP Passing) outside Poona Club on 13th Feb, just few mins after the KP bomb blast...it was stuck in a traffic jam and driver was struggling with it...Also spotted the Merc SLK in the same traffic...
