Another popular car in Indian movies- the 'old' fiat!

Fiat 1100 select (altho fitted w/ Super select grille & trim) in an 80s Telugu movie....

Suraksha, late 70s...note Herald/Gazel hubcaps & again super select grille on the blue one!

In Guru, Mahadevan drives a Herald Mk 1. Abhishek goes through a succession of Mercs. The Contractor guy drives what appears to be a Jag XK 120.

Hey tats interesting to know, Viper! 'didnt know Heralds r still used in our movies...

as I rarely watch new movies!

got2 check tat out sumtime.....! Btw, is it an open-top, as in most movies?

Abhisheks mercs somehow are not periodically correct in the movie if you ask me. But yeah the herald is a nice immaculate looking piece. The contractors car is not an XK120 for sure. Not sure what it is, but somehow it looks too big to be an XK. Maybe RAM or Karlos can throw some light on this car.

52 Cadillac(?) in a 60s telugu movie....

And the omnipresent Chevy Impalas! This one's a '60 4-door in 'Do Phool' (1973)

1960 conv. Impala in a Tamil movie....

Yes, it's open-top, but the top is drawn shut. It's set in the 70s, so the car looks brand new.

In guru, as V1p3r said, the contractor drives an XK 120. An XK was not a small car by any standards

I remember few old movies that've variety of exclusive cars...i do not've pics....can somebody get them???

1) Pyar Kiye ja (Kishor kumar, Shashi Kapoor)

2) Rajesh khanna - Zeenat movie where rajesh is a car racer & is shown driving red Porsche 911

3) Jackie Shroff with his antique bike in Angaar

4) Chalti Ka Naam Gadi (Kishor/Ashok/Amit Kumar)

5) Car (old imported ones, few LHDs) chase sequences in Big B's movies like Don,Shakti,Naseeb,Shaan,HeraPheri

for this one............but cant help listing of DC modded cars in hindi movies:
1) some Salman-Priety movie where salman drives DC modded Cielo coupe
2) Tarzan the Car

I dont have a picture but Salman Khan drives a Standard in Maine Pyaar Kiya and he is shown racing around in the car. A few more LWB American cars are used in the movie.

hmm....from what i remember it was a Fiat Spyder...and i think it was the same one we saw in dadar...will have to see the movie again now!

It is a fiat Karl, not a standard. You will see this car in almost all rajshree movies. I think they own it. Also if you see old Rajshree movies, you will notice that the hera always drive in an imported covertible.
@ Khanak- In Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, the car is a Blue XK 120 Jag. Altough ive not seen the film, i chanced upon seeing the song on TV yesterday.
Another car I remember is the white Peugeot 404 convertible with body by Pininfarina in the film "Do Anjaane", an old Amitabh Rekha starer. The car is driven by Prem Chopra in the film. I know of this because I had a similar car till a few months ago in Yellow and I sold this to a collector in Bangalore. On my last visit to Bangalore I was sad to see, it had deteriorated further in Bangalore. I dont know what the plight is now.
