The new 2016 Porsche 911 range will officially be launched in the Indian market on June 29. The aforementioned date has been confirmed after Porsche India started sending media invites for the awaited launch event. The new 911 models that will be introduced into the Indian market will include 911 Carrera Cabriolet, 911 Carrera S, 911 Turbo, and the 911 Turbo S Cabriolet. Similar to the outgoing models, the new 911 range of cars will come into India through the CBU route.

The new range of Porsche 911 doesn’t get any significant cosmetic changes. But minor tweaks have been added, like a new pair of headlamps with projectors and DRLs, and new bumpers with larger air intakes.On the inside, the new 911 series will come with a new GT sport steering wheel. The sport seats come with leather upholstery across the range. Equipment on offer includes Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) with roll compensation, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB).

Engine options on offer across the new 911 range will include a 3.8-litre flat six mill that is boosted by twin-turbochargers. This is the first time that the German automaker has ditched naturally aspirated engines from the Carrera lineup, and gone for forced-induction. Porsche's PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission will be mated to each of these cars. But the power outputs would be different for each model.

It's a 3.0 Litre for the Carrera. But the Turbo still gets a 3.8 Litre.

Porsche is yet to unveil the 991.2 GT3. It should be launched by End-2016.

The blue one u saw with a number plate "911' is my dads car. It is the first one in Mumbai and they were suppose to launch on the 25th of may but got postpone so they had to give out the car.

The updated range of Porsche 911 supercars has been launched in India, at prices starting from Rs. 1.42 crore, ex-showroom Delhi. The revised range, referred to as the 991.2, consists of the Carrera, Carrera S, Carrera 4, Carrera 4 S, Turbo, Turbo S, along with all their cabriolet versions.

Cosmetic changes in the new range include newly designed front bumpers, LED headlamps, redesigned tail-lamp cluster, and a new engine cover. Additionally, the rear tyres are now wider by an inch. The alloy wheels too have been updated with a new design.

The biggest highlight of the new 911 range is the presence of turbocharged engines in the Carrera series. All Carrera models are now powered by a 3.0-litre, twin-turbo, flat-six engine, which is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. On the Carrera, this engine develops 370 BHP and 450 Nm of torque, while the power and torque figures are boosted on the Carrera S to 420 BHP and 500 Nm.

On the other hand, the Porsche 911 Turbo continues to be powered by a 3.8-litre turbocharged flat-six engine, but power and torque figures have been enhanced by tuning the engine characteristics. As a result, it develops 540 BHP and 660 Nm on the standard 911 Turbo, and 580 BHP and 700Nm on the more powerful 911 Turbo S.
