This one at the supercar show last month is a Turbo, right? I can't really differentiate between 911's. They all look the same to me

yes it is a turbo. one of the easy ways to figure out whether its a turbo or not is to see if there are vents on the rear wheel arch.

I was a business award function at the Taj recently and Adar Poonawala got this yellow 911. Even in the drive way it sounded frightful at a slight dab on the accelerator. Incredible sounding machine

is the car pictured in these 3 posts the same one?

Was this car recently repainted to yellow?

I have seen a pic this 911T bearing the same reg. but with silver colour on an auto magazine.

Another way to differentiate between a turbo and a regular 911 is to check the spoiler. The spoiler on the Turbo model is very different. And another is the wheels, but I guess they can be an option on the regular car as well.

That's a gorgeous Speed Yellow Turbo! Oh and differentiating between a Carrera and Turbo is very easy! Apart from the vents (mentioned by Akshay), the front and rear bumpers are totally different, the wheels are different and there is an additional rear spoiler. The Turbo has wider rear body work as well!

Slightly OT: The Ferrari 348 in the back ground looks interesting. Does it have aftermarket wheels or something? They seem slightly deep-dish!

There's one more clue to differentiate between the 911s..The exhaust in the rear is somewhat oval in shape(turbo) whereas in the GT3 they are round and are clamped together unlike in the turbo at each of the sides.

But once you get to the rear of the car it'd be easier to simply read it out if it's a turbo or anything else. Why check exhaust and spoiler???

The 997 GT3 has centrally mounted dual exhausts. The Turbo has oval-ish exhausts that poke out of the ends of the bumper where as the GT2 has regular dual cylindrical pipes that are positioned the same way as the Turbo's. The Carrera S has quad pipes like the M3's and the base Carrera has regular dual oval-ish pipes.

Those aren't the stock pipes. Those look more like TechArt pipes! I'm not sure if the Cat is the same but from what I can see, those aren't stock! The Turbo comes with dual pipes, not quad!

EDIT: I think this picture was posted in the Hyderabad Exotics thread. And I've left a similar reply as well!
