Hi Neeraj , who do you use for servicing the X5 ? I will be picking up 2008/09 E70 X5 in the next few days |
Congrats buddy!!!
I go to BMW Bird Automotive 4, IDC Sector 14 Gurugram (authorised BMW service center), they are really pro!!!
Once I took the car to European Motors last year (Jagat motors in udyog vihar), they were not that great, and cost of maintenance was not that different (less) than the authorised service center. One of a good friend (Varun) advised me to go to Bird automotive instead and I found them far better and professional. Please go to Bird BMW once and you will feel the difference.
So, which one are you picking a diesel (3.0d) or a petrol (4.4 or 4.8is)?
please call me at +919958666355 in case you need any support!!
Thank you for the advice . Picking up the 4.8is . Going down south to pick it up and driving it back up north to GG then to the farm . Will try to link up when in GG.
Nope that's not the one . A friend had told me about it . I do not know if it's on the web or not . It's done 37500km . Had it all checked by BMW .
Did you find out about the exhausts ?
Hi Neeraj, does the X5 come with a spare wheel ?

That is a tricky question that depends on the year and X5 model:
1) NO the 7 seater models (E70 onwards) Definitely Do Not come with a spare wheel as the last row seats eat in to the space allotted for the spare wheel.
2) The 5 seater models may or may not come with a spare wheel. But the E70 does have space for a spare wheel. So in most countries though the space exists they did not fill it with a spare wheel. In India they did provide a spare wheel in the E70 5 seater variant (which was the cheaper model to buy).
3) E53 did not come in 7 seater form and hence had space for a spare tyre.
4) In India since 2014 we have the newest F15 model this to like the E70 has the same 5 and 7 seater combination with no spare in the 7 seater and it being optional in the 5 seater.
5) The Spare tyres would generally be space savers with steel rims.

Agree completely with the above points, mine is a 5 seater and it came with a spare wheel.
