Porsche recently celebrated its 70th anniversary .

World over Porsche dealerships organised a special event for its customers. Porsche Bengaluru pulled off a mind blowing event by hiring a run way for the day. The cars assembled at The Lalit Ashok and the convoy drove all the way to Taneja Aerospace & Aviation Ltd. in Hosur where fun activities like Off road , circuit and a drag strip awaited them.

Here are a few pictures from the day. More videos coming up later.

Looks like one of the red ones ended up on the median near Shoolagiri :-(

Great pics - thanks for sharing! Your report is better than what Porsche's own press team sent across to the media :thumbs up. In fact, Porsche Bangalore did a better job than Porsche India (the company) did, what with the runway and all. They celebrated in Mumbai & Gurgaon too. Pretty lame compared to Bangalore IMHO (especially the Gurgaon one).

Also, I don't think anyone from Porsche put any effort or thought process into the celebration like Land Rover did. Porsche India just left it to their dealers & customers. An an example, a 70th birthday celebration without any classic Porsches :Shockked:? Where are the old beauties? Where is the celebration of their heritage? See what Mercedes organises EVERY YEAR - link. If not the classics, at least include more from the 80s & 90s.

Second that.

The heritage part was totally lacking.
And India does have many hidden gems from yesteryears.

A walk around the cars .

Meanwhile, the 70 years celebrations video by Porsche!

Though I could not spot Indian celebrations in there.
In comparison, the Indian celebrations was...

Celebrating 70 Years of Porsche Sportscars – The Sportscar Together Day 2018

Now, this is a coincidence.
Lotus too celebrating their 70 years.
Still a small company when compared to the VW behemoth

If I may ask, how does one refuel with Speed97 or similar (assuming that is what the GTS drives on) while driving between these two cities?

Thanks

I guess fill regular 91 octane at company owned bunks.

These cars are designed to run optimally on 95-98 RON, and will run without problems (although dampened performance) on fuel with lower octane since the anti knock feature exists.

However, Porsche recommends that you don't drive at full throttle when filling below 95 RON implying its ok for an emergency but not ideal.
