Can be sold abroad too. If in excellent condition with low miles, the fact that its RHD will make it sell really quick in markets like the UK.

Really now? Forgetting our 150% duty, he won’t be getting a refund on that for sure
He has already bought the car for the premium It will fetch in the international market In the near future.

Such collections help ensure you keep getting invited to buy the latest limited editions. I am not sure of how values of these cars work in India, but globally, such cars seldom lose money and mostly trade at good premiums. Buying a car, using it well and selling it at a premium sounds like a win-win to me Then of course comes the coveted title of having the biggest Porsche collection in India and the bragging rights that come with it
As mentioned before, if it was not India. In my opinion the only Porsche in that garage which would appreciate would be the 911R. But I doubt anyone would buy that for a premium when Porsche offers both a budget manual (Carrera T) and GT3 in touring pack which was brought in to counter the appreciation of 911R. Also I dont think the GT2 RS would match the 911R in value as its production is not much limited/ every generation will get a 2RS.
So... This man's passion for Porsche is commendable.

Looks like he worships the brand so much that he has moved his office next door to the Porsche showroom.

IIRC, none of the reviews praised the car. They were left a little underwhelmed by it.

Regarding the GT3 Touring Pack countering the appreciation of 911R, well, it has only slowed it down a fraction. The allocations for the Touring Pack are near impossible to get abroad. Even a manual GT3 isn't that easy to get.
So those are switching hands for a premium already.

BTW got confused and went on to update my Porsche knowledge by checking their website.
Here is the list of 911 models Porsche makes:-

911 Carrera
911 Carrera S
911 Carrera Cabriolet
911 Carrera S Cabriolet
911 Carrera 4
911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet
911 Carrera 4S
911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet
911 Carrera T
911 Targa 4
911 Targa 4S
911 Turbo
911 Turbo S
911 Turbo Cabriolet
911 Turbo S Cabriolet
911 Turbo S Exclusive Series
911 Carrera GTS
911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet
911 Carrera 4 GTS
911 Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet
911 Targa 4 GTS
911 GT3
911 GT3 RS
911 GT2 RS

In total 24 variants of 911 and all of them available in India (as per the website).
This is excluding the 50th anniversary and other 'special special' editions they release.

Closed the website tab by concluding hopefully I'll be able to afford at least one variant in the future.

That's a big leap from the GT2 RS allocation which was just one unit if i'm not wrong.
I don't think the Type 991 Mark II GTS and Targa models are available in India.
As for the Exclusive Series, there was just one slot for India which is, of course, sold out!

And yep, there was just one allocation initially but we would be seeing a few more now.

There is one red GTS in Mumbai I think. Owned by DAD? It is wrapped in lime green now. Was there in BLR for the anniversary celebrations. Correct me if i'm wrong.
Heard its going to get a GT3 RS rear wing too...

That is a 991 MK I GTS. A twin of the car exists in Delhi too. Just the two Carrera GTS in India + 1 Targa4GTS. None of the MK II GTS' have come in.

Another 2 sports cars - Aston and a Lambo.
That is quite an infatuation for Porsches isn't it? He has a aftermarket tuned Hurracan. Plenty pictures of it on the Bangalore supercars page.I wonder whats next for him?!

P.S: I didn't know there was a prerequisite to own a certain number of Porsches before one could buy a Cayman GT4?

I don't believe there is. His GT4 in particular was being openly offered through other dealerships as well and was offered to a couple of my friends too. I had the full spec-sheet and all lying around somewhere. Later heard he confirmed the allocation and eventually picked it up.

Actually I saw a Bren Garage label on the basement located right behind the Porsche showroom, but in the same building. Are you referring to that?

On a lighter note, he could instead relocate the Porsche showroom to one of his buildings with the kind of customer he has been to them.

Not for a Cayman GT4 but for a 911 R, you sure had to be one of preselected customers to get your hands on one. The market rate of this 911R went well over 900,000 Euros and only to counter this level of appreciation, the Porsche decided to bring in the GT3 Touring and 991 T. There is so much demand in the market for a 6cylinder naturally aspirated rear-engined manul shift Sportscar.

After the launch of GT3 touring, the 911 R appreciation has stopped to an extent but still wanders in the high 600,000 Euros mark. Many of the 911R's have ended up being a Garage queen. I am happy to see that BREN Garage is using them atleast.
P.S: The car had a list price of 130,000 Euros.

Porsche 911 GT2 RS is the Fastest production car
Sets new Buddh lap record of 2min 0.26sec

Narain Karthikeyan laps the BIC in 2min 0.26sec in the 700hp Porsche 911 GT2 RS, the most powerful road-going 911 ever made; nearly 7.5sec quicker than the previous record- of a blistering 2min 7.629sec lap in his own Porsche 911 GT3.

Quote:
Speaking after his record-breaking run, Karthikeyan said, "Compared to the 911 GT3 we set the previous record with, the GT2 RS is a completely different animal. It was a rush to break the record by such a big margin, and I think I even surprised myself with the final lap time."

In October 2018, Porsche 911 GT2 RS beat the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ's time of 6min 44.97sec by lapping the Nürburgring in 6min, 40.3sec and laying claim to the fastest production car crown.

Launched in India last year at a price of Rs 3.88 crore (ex-showroom), the GT2 RS is the most powerful road-going 911 ever made. Its 3.8-litre, twin-turbo flat-six engine makes a colossal 700hp (200hp up on the GT3) and 750Nm of torque. All that power goes to the rear wheels via a 7-speed PDK automatic gearbox. 0-100kph takes a scant 2.8sec, and its top speed is rated at 340kph.
